DERIK, Syria (North Press) – A group of individuals with European nationalities crossed the border to the Iraqi Kurdistan region on Wednesday through Semalka border crossing near the city of Derik, northeast Syria.
The head of the Relations Office in Semalka crossing, Baz Ahmad, told North Press that 30 travellers of European nationality crossed the border to the Iraqi Kurdistan region on Wednesday.
Ahmad added that the travellers will be transferred from Faysh Khabur crossing in the Iraqi Kurdistan region to the Ibrahim Khalil crossing with Turkey.
The management of Semalka border crossing announced on Tuesday that foreign nationalities and residents are allowed to enter the Kurdistan region and travel through Erbil International Airport.
