On Tuesday a fire broke out in a furniture manufacturer workshop in the Siyahi district of Qamishli, in northeastern Syria.
The firefighting team dealt with the fire as quickly as possible to prevent it from spreading. With the support of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), they were able to put out the fire that broke out inside the workshop, which contains inflammable equipment and materials.
Farhan Qartamini, a resident from Qamishli and an eyewitness, told North-Press that they could not find out the reasons that had caused the fire.
The fire devoured all the materials and goods inside the workshop , causing huge financial losses estimated at millions of Syrian pounds, according to relatives of the workshop's owner.
Earlier this month, a fire broke out in the only surgical operating room in al-Kalima Hospital in the center of Qamishli, as a result of short circuits, with no human loss.
