Syrian government team eliminates night curfews and allows transportation between governorates

Yesterday, the Syrian government team concerned with tackling the coronavirus canceled the evening curfew, starting today, May 26th, allowing individual and collective transportation between the governorates.
On March 29, the Syrian government announced a ban on movement between governorate centers and all regions and rural areas until further notice, as part of government measures to tackle coronavirus.
The government team extended the period of opening markets and stores to be from eight in the morning until seven in the evening during summer.
The Syrian government decided at the end of last month to open popular markets and all commercial and industrial shops and services daily from eight in the morning until five in the evening, with the need for all activities and stores to adhere to health safety rules, amid the easing of the measures that it had taken to prevent the outbreak of the new coronavirus.
With regard to repatriating Syrians stranded in other countries after the spread of coronavirus, the government team decided to continue the decision to suspend their repatriation, which had started on May 13, this year until further notice, provided that the issue of repatriation is dealt with after treating all the affected cases and the expiration of the quarantine period for those in the quarantine centers.
On Monday, the Syrian Ministry of Health announced in a statement that the number of coronavirus cases reached 106, of which 41 were cured, and four died.
According to the statement, 47 cases are from Syrians stranded in other countries who were brought to Syria.
