Asayish clarifies security measures during Eid al-Fitr

On Monday, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in northeastern Syria announced the security measures during the Eid al-Fitr period that include restricting traffic for tankers, trucks, and motorcycles and preventing the shooting of firearms.
In a general posted on its Facebook account on Monday, the Asayish said that the movement of all medium and large trucks and tankers are prohibited from Thursday midnight at 1:00 a.m., until Tuesday, May 26th at 3:00 p.m.
It pointed out that the movement of motorcycles that belong to civilians and military personnel are prohibited within the city centers of all cities, towns, and villages from Tuesday, May 19th until Tuesday, May 26th.
Shooting of firearms outside applicable laws and regulations by security and military forces and civilians is prohibited under penalty and confiscation of weapons, according to the post.
It emphasized that all border crossings remain closed, except for the Tayha and Tabqa crossings, which remain open to the movement of the civilians.
On Sunday, the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria issued a generalization stipulating the opening of the Tayha and Tabqa crossings with areas controlled by the Syrian government, in front of the movement of the arrivals and departures to and from the Autonomous Administration areas starting from Tuesday morning until May 26th, "taking into account health protection and physical distance."
