During the second period of the lockdown announced by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) arrested dozens of violators of the decision, in addition to fining them.

The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) tightened their security measures inside the town of Tal-Tamr, north of Hasakah, in the second period of the curfew announced by the Autonomous Administration to confront coronavirus, after the town witnessed notable violations in the first period.

In a statement to North Press, an official of the Asayish in Tal-Tamr, Abdel-Aziz Muhammad, said that they have taken many security and precautionary measures inside the town, such as closing main roads and intensifying patrols, indicating that they arrested and fined dozens as “a result of their lack of commitment and their repeated violations of the lockdown decision.”

He added that there are cases of not adhering to the lockdown, calling on the residents to abide by the decision until the end of the curfew period.

After 20 days of the lockdown decision, the town of Tal-Tamr is witnessing a massive deployment of Internal Security Forces at the entrances and exits of the town and in the markets, in addition to the main streets.

Khidr Muhammad, an official at the Traffic Police in the town, said that they have impounded a number of violating cars and they warned their owners to abide by the decisions issued by the Autonomous Administration in order to protect public health and prevent the emergence of coronavirus.

Earlier, the Autonomous Administration announced the extension of lockdown for another 15 days in all its regions until April 21st, and noted that it will impose financial sanctions against violators in order to confront coronavirus in the region.
