Global coalition sends medical equipment to Health Directorate in Hasakah

On Sunday, the Health Directorate of the Autonomous Administration in Hasakah received a batch of medical equipment, devices, and medicines provided by the U.S.-led Global Coalition, while the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said that they are waiting for the coming period to receive a new batch of equipment.
The equipment was transported via several trucks from the Global Coalition base in Shaddadi to the Health Directorate in Hasakah, to be distributed to the region's hospitals.
A source from the SDF told North-Press that they will receive a new batch of medical equipment and supplies in the coming period to provide more health centers and hospitals with the necessary equipment.
On the 7th of April, in an interview with Rudaw news network, the spokesperson for the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS Col. Myles b. Caggins, said that coalition forces and the international community are providing financial support to the SDF to counter coronavirus and secure health care supplies in Hasakah and Shaddadi hospitals.
Col. Myles added that ISIS' threats are constant, and added to them is the threat of COVID-19, so the U.S. Department of State has allocated 16 million dollars to protect different areas in Syria, in addition to a quantity of weapons to be sent to the SDF.
He said that their colleagues in the Department of State are preparing to send all the necessary supplies, and it is very essential to fight COVID-19, because when people start to worry about the lack of aid and sources of support, that opens the way to ISIS activities.
