The Kurdish Red Crescent in the town of al-Shaddadi, south of Hasakah, installed two quarantine tents in al-Shaab medical center yesterday, Sunday, in case of any suspected cases showing symptoms of the coronavirus.

This came within a set of preliminary measures taken by the Kurdish Red Crescent in anticipation of any emergency case, and to provide medical services to the people to ensure that coronavirus does not spread.

Ali al-Said, an administrator at al-Shaddadi medical center, told North-Press that "the clinic was provided with two tents, the first of which is to check all the people who come to the clinic, and the second is designated for people who may have symptoms of the virus."

He added, "The second tent is equipped with eight chairs, and there is a safe distance between each chair."

No suspected cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed, and if any patient is suspected of symptoms of the virus, "we inform the emergency team in Hasakah so that the patient would be transferred to Hasakah Hospital," according to al-Said.

It is worth mentioning that the al-Shaab Municipality in al-Shaddadi carried out a campaign to clean streets and sterilize civil institutions and population centers during the past month, as part of the measures taken by the Autonomous Administration to prevent the spread of the virus in its areas.

On the 15th of last month, the Autonomous Administration decided to suspend all its official departments to open the way for medical committees to sterilize all public institutions and buildings in northeastern Syria.
