A truckload of relief aid arrived today from the Kurdistan Region via Semalka border-crossing into north-eastern Syria.

Kamal Derbas, the administrator of the Kurdish Red Crescent, told North-Press that the Kurdish Charitable Institution in Kurdistan Region had sent a truck containing 550 relief baskets consisting of foodstuffs.

Mr. Derbas added that this aid will be distributed in Newroz Camp in Derik (Malikiya) countryside and Washo-Kani camp in Hasakah countryside, in north-eastern Syria.

It is noteworthy that this aid is the second shipment provided by the Kurdish Charitable Institution, which previously sent 14 trucks of aid that were distributed to the displaced people from the areas affected by the ongoing Turkish military and its affiliated armed groups’ invasion.
