Violence and acts of murder rise in al-Hawl camp

In the southeastern countryside of Hasakah, al-Hawl camp which is run by the Autonomous Administration of northeastern Syria has witnessed an upsurge in the violence which has been blamed on the families of the Islamic State organization (ISIS) in the camp.

Sources from inside the camp told North-Press that the security forces have found the body of an Iraqi refugee, named Asaad Madid, after being stabbed in the chest. As the sources pointed out that the body of the deceased person was found after being hidden in a tent in the newly established sector 7, to receive the families of the displaced people, indicating that the incident fell in days ago according to the medical report.

The murder of the Iraqi refugee came two days after the body of a Turkmen woman was found. Fatima Abdullah, an ISIS leader’s wive, who was found dead after being whipped and severely beaten by ISIS women. The camp officials believe that the killing of Fatima comes "after she had tried to break the rules of the extremist ideology of the terrorist organization."

 

Eight days earlier, North-Press reported an attempted killing of an Iraqi boy, in al-Hawl camp, north-east of Syria, who was seriously wounded in the face and skull. The 15-year-old Salman Taleb, who lives in sector 4 of Al-Hawl camp, was found seriously injured by a hammer and was taken into the Kurdish Red Crescent’s medical point inside the camp, where he was provided with the first aid treatment.

An official in the Kurdish Red Crescent told North-Press that the Iraqi boy, was beaten in 4 parts of his skull and face, pointing out that he was transferred into al-Shaab Hospital in Hasakah, noting that his condition is very critical, as he described.

 

It is worth mentioning that al-Hawl camp, south-east of the city of Hasakah, is a home for 71,000 people, including more than 40,000 refugees of the Islamic State women and families.
