The local people of the town of al-Shaddadi, southern Hasakah governorate, have appealed to all components in northern Syria, including civilians, military and political parties to unite the ranks, stand hand in hand to repel the Turkish attacks and prevent Turkey from implementing its colonial projects on the Syrian territories and restoring the glories of the Ottoman Turks.
The locals denounced the massacres carried out by the Turkish military and its affiliated armed opposition groups’ shelling, especially the Tal Rifaat massacre, where 10 civilians were killed, including eight children and 13 other civilians were heavily injured.
Mohammed Bozan, a member of the reconciliation and social justice committee in al-Shaddadi Council told North-Press that the Turkish forces are committing massacres against the components of northern Syria, with no regard whether they are Kurds, Arabs or Syriacs, referring to Tal Rifat massacre, which caused a large number of casualties among civilians, including children under the age of fifteen. While The United Nations stayed silent.
Bozan pointed out that all those who turn a blind eye and cover up the Turkish crimes are considered as partners. One of the founders of these policies is the Justice and Development Party (AKP), which is headed by Erdogan who backed the armed opposition groups with weapons and military equipment, as Sultan Abdul Hamid had done during the Armenian Genocide. He stressed that the peoples of northeastern Syria would not allow Turkey to occupy the region, or repeat the scenario of the Ottoman State.
Al-Muhaisin a resident of al-Shaddadi also agreed on uniting all components in the region to face the Turkish attack. He pointed out that the aim of these attacks is not to liberate the region as promoted by Turkey, stressing on the dignity and freedom of the people who have been living with each other since thousands of years. Al-Muhaisin emphasized that the political parties of all components should be an active member in the region.
Hussam al-Hussein, also said that all components must join hands to repel the Turkish attacks since they have objectives, including provoking animosity between the components to facilitate the occupation of the region.
On the 2nd of December, the Turkish military and its affiliated armed opposition groups carried out a massacre in the town of Tal Rifaat, northern Aleppo, in artillery shelling that killed 10 civilians, mostly children, and wounded 16 other civilians, including children under the age of fifteen.
