A new humanitarian convoy has entered northeastern Syria from Kurdistan Regional Government on Thursday. Kamal Derbas, an official of the Kurdish Red Crescent, told North-Press: "30 vehicles loaded with tents, blankets, pillows, kitchen equipment, as well as health care baskets and children's clothes, have entered via Simalka border-crossing in the town of Derik (Malikiya), north-eastern Syria, as they will be distributed to the displaced people in Washo-Kani camp in the city of Hasakah.”

Kamal Derbas added that this aid shipment was provided by international organizations to “Barzani Charity Foundation”, which in turn provided them to the Kurdish Red Crescent in north-eastern Syria.

It is noteworthy that this is the second batch of aid provided for the displaced people in Washo-Kani camp, which is a home to more than two thousand IDP families from the areas of Tal Ayad in Raqqa, and Ras al-Ain (Sere-Kaniye) in Hasakah. More than 300 thousand people have been displaced from the mentioned areas due to the Turkish military invasion in north-eastern Syria.
