After Al-Hol clash, ISIS carries out attacks in Deir ez Zor
Islamic State’s sleeper cells have renewed their terrorist attacks in Syria’s northwestern governorate of Deir ez-Zo, as some assassination operations were conducted by the terrorist group’s cells.
North-Press was informed that 4 civilians had lost their lives, and 10 members of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) were injured on Wednesday, in bombings and assassinations in some towns and villages in Deir ez-Zor.
Unidentified persons, most likely members of the Islamic State (ISIS) targeted by an improvised explosive device (IED) a motorcycle that was carrying three civilians working in al-Omar oil field; the IED was remotely detonated during the passing of the three workers.
Meanwhile, an IED was exploded on al-Tayanah-Ziban road, two (Asayish) vehicles were targeted, one civilian was killed, while 8 members of the Security Forces were injured.
While two members of female security forces were wounded in the village of al-Sabhah by gun-shots fired by unidentified armed persons.
Also in Deir ez-Zor, SDF’s Landmines Engineering Unit has dismantled an IED manufacturing plant at a school in the city of Hajin.
Meanwhile, Counter-Terrorism Units had captured some ISIS sleeper cells and their leaders in the past period. These cells have intensified their attacks on Tuesday, after the recent events in al-Hol camp, which contains thousands of women and children of members of the Islamic State, where there was a mutual fire shooting between ISIS women and the Female Security Forces, as an ISIS woman was killed during the clashes, some others were injured.
