Internal Security Units dismantle large ISIS sleeper cell in Raqqa

The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) of the Autonomous Administration in the city of Raqqa stated that they were able to dismantle a large terrorist sleeper cell which was active in the city, yesterday morning. 

The security forces stated on its official website that their security apparatus carried out a qualitative operation that resulted in the arrest of the members of the sleeper cell of men and women, where they raided the places which were identified by their own sources. 

According to (Asayish), they seized a number of weapons, silencers, explosive devices, and explosive materials, and they seized special books related to The Islamic State group (ISIS). 

The report said that the cell was active in the city, and regarded as one of the largest ISIS sleeper cells in Raqqa.

While the Counter-Terrorism Forces in Raqqa had already arrested the cell of “assassinations”, in addition to the leader of the group in the city of Raqqa, according to documents obtained by North-Press Agency.
