Qamishli – North-Press Agency

A score of civilians, including children, were severely injured this morning as a car exploded in the town of Tirbe Sipi / Al-Qahtaniyah, in the eastern countryside of Qamishli, northeastern Syria.

According to initial information, a car bomb has exploded at around 11:00 am, local time today, close to the Post and Communications Office in al-Nahya Street in the center of Al-Qahtaniya, some 50 km to the east of Qamishli, where ambulance vehicles have rushed into the explosion area for emergency situation.

It’s worth mentioning that the region of northeastern Syria is recently witnessing terrorist explosions and bombings by booby-trapped motorcycles and vehicles, where the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) have launched security operations to capture the terrorist ISIS sleeper cells, and to thwart the attempts of the terrorist attacks.

The most recent security operation was conducted yesterday in the city of Ras al-Ain when the Internal Security Forces could manage to dismantle a booby-trapped tank, which was intended for a terrorist attack close to the silos in the northern countryside of Hasakah.
