The Military construction company of the Syrian Democratic Forces has rehabilitated Tal Al-Samn Bridge on the road linking between the town of Tal Abyad/Gre Spi and the city of Raqqa, northeast of Syria.
The bridge, located on Balikh canal about 30 km northern city of al-Raqqa, and considered as the most important bridge on the canal.
The company had removed the remnants of debris and rubble and placed an iron bridge to facilitate the traffic process.
Regarding the importance of the bridge and its work, Lawrence Ali, a supervisor of the working process told North-Press: “We are working to rehabilitate Tal Al-Samn Bridge because of its importance in connecting the northern areas of Raqqa,” pointing out that the military construction company has equipped more than 15 bridges in the countryside of Raqqa, so far.
Ali added, “We will rehabilitate all other bridges to facilitate the movement of citizens.”
It’s worth mentioning that most of the bridges on the Balikh canal were destroyed during the battles against the Islamic State militants.
