Vocational training project in Raqqa to develop youth capabilities

On Wednesday, DOZ International Organization, a local non-profit organization launched a capacity building project for youth in the city of Raqqa with the aim of training 40 young people from the city in the field of sanitary and electrical installations.
DOZ International opened the capacity building project at its office near the Children's Hospital in the center of Raqqa, in the presence of a group of intellectuals, members of Raqqa Civil Council and representatives of civil society organizations, in addition to many local media outlets.
The coordinator of the Euphrates region in the organization and the project manager, Ahmed Sheikho told North-Press that the duration of the project extends for two months and targets young people between the ages of 18-35.
Ahmed Sheikho indicated that the trainees will be divided into two categories, 20 of them will undergo training in the field of sanitary and the other section will be trained in the field of electrical installations. He added: "The project aims to reduce the unemployment rate among the youth, which coincided with the high costs of living that the region is suffering.”
Regarding the vocational training mechanism in the training project, Sheikho indicated that there will be a theoretical training within the center of DOZ International and it will be under the supervision of specialized engineers, while practical training will be within local companies to be contracted in order to apply the theoretical information that the trainees obtained in a practical way.
He emphasized that at the end of the training project, the attendees will be given a document of attendance from DOZ International Organization, in addition to distributing a training bag containing what is necessary for each trainee of equipment for his profession in which he is trained in the organization.
Doz International Organization was founded in late 2012 and has 7 centers across northeastern Syria.
