About 80% of the population of Raqqa works in agriculture, which is considered the main source of income for its citizens.
Women have the largest share of agricultural work, which has declined significantly in the last eight years due to the severe damage to irrigation channels and the organizational bridges, as well as lack of fertilizers and seeds.
