North of Raqqa to Hama.. nascent cheese factory support agricultural economy
Milk and cheese factory in Kabesh village north of Raqqa which was opened more than a year, is one of Raqqa and other areas exporting to, economic pillars.
Local experiences have been activated by opening their own projects in different simple fields, especially after guaranteeing a relative security situation in north and east of Syria’s areas and providing job vacancies.
Owner of the factory, Raslan Al-Ahmad Al-Hamoud spoke to North Press that he started his project after he fled from Hama to Raqqa a year ago, pointing out that he started his project with simple and primitive machines worked by 40 workers to develop and work 20 hours a day.
The factory provides local market in Raqqa and Hama every day with a ton of Arabic fat and 3 tons of cheese after buying 20 tons of milk from shepherds in Al-Hassaka, Raqqa and Kobane/Ein Al-Arab.

Al-Hamoud complains of border crossing procedures between SDF areas and Syrian government ones pointing out to high custom fees and delaying them at crossings.
“In addition to transporting costs, after it was 50.000, we pay about 200.000 SYP to customs for 4 tons only.” Al-Hamoud said.
During his speech, Raslan Al-Ahmad Al-Hamoud mentioned other difficulties like his need to 800 liters of diesel provided by Sadkop for 60 SYP.
But this amount is for two days only, as Al-Hamoud mentioned, the thing led him to buy from free shop with three times of the price he used to buy from Sadkop foundation.
