ENKS: Second stage of Syrian Intra-Kurdish talk starts soon
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The presidency of ENKS (a group of Kurdish political parties in Syria associated with the opposition) Muhammad Ismail said that the second stage of intra-Kurdish talk is coming soon, and an “American mediator is meeting with them and Kurdish National Unity parties independently to bring views closer together."
Ismail told North Press at a political seminar that the local council of ENKS was held in Hasakah on Friday, to discuss the political situation and the latest developments of the intra-Kurdish talks.
Ismail said that the second stage will start soon, and ENKS and Kurdish National Unity parties are transferring their points of views to an American mediator who meet with each of them independently to bring views closer together.
“All maters will be clear when we convene, to reach a political reference and discuss the military issues,” he added.
Ismail said that the intra-Kurdish dialogue is not against a Syrian coalition or any of the regional or international parties, however it solves disputes between two Kurdish parties and serves the political operation in Syria.
He added that “All international parties want the political operation in Syria to begin, however this dialogue serves the political operation, and no one will oppose it.”
In a joint statement the two Kurdish parties announced on June 16, the end of the first stage of the unity of Kurdish ranks negotiations reaching to initial understandings and a common political vision based on the Dohuk agreement signed in 2014.
