“Iran’s response is inevitable” – The Officer-in-Charge of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus
Damascus – North-Press Agency
The Officer-in-Charge of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Ali Reza Ayati has asserted to North-Press that Iran's response to the assassination of the commander of Quds Force, Gen. Qasem Soleimani is inevitable, and that Iran will reserve its right to respond, which will not be prolonged. Mr. Ayati said that hours after the assassination operation, instructions were issued from the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei that "criminals and those who collaborate in carrying out this crime will be punished, and Iran is waiting for the zero hour or the password to respond.”
The Iranian OIC pointed out that the popular support for the idea of response is what the Iranian forces are based on, he said: "The Iranian people today are subjected to the worst forms of the siege, striking their interests and killing their leaders, and this matter will not go unnoticed because our people demand us a lot, the least of which is the curbing of the American madness, which became clear that it is leading the region to a war that America wants.”
He believes that it was America which created and supported the Islamic State group (ISIS) and that it is moving today under its protection, he stated: "America today is imitating the criminal method of these terrorist groups, and we as a one integrated power should not turn a blind eye about everything that happens, as there must be a vigorous response that preserves the dignity of those assassinated leaders by the hands of the American treachery.”
Ayati stressed the role of the Leaders of the Axis of Resistance and what they say, speaking about a statement by the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, when he said: "America is the primary producer of terrorism as ISIS and others, and that the response to any attack is constant and if we don't respond to America and its tools, it will continue and insist on hitting and dividing our societies, which is its goal.”
Many Syrian cities including the capital Damascus are witnessing condolence councils for Gen. Qasem Soleimani and his companions amid widespread condemnation by the loyal public to the so-called "Axis of Resistance" that extends from Iran into Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine.
