Al-Jaafari confirms the continuation of the military operation in Idlib, while France and Russia to strengthen the political process

Syria's permanent representative to the United Nations reaffirmed his country's necessity to eliminate "terrorism", at a time both the French and Russian Presidents also agreed on the necessity of the continuation of the joint war on "terrorism" in Syria and the strength of the political process.
Syria's permanent representative to the United Nations, Bashar al-Jaafari renewed his assertion that, Syria won't abandon its right of sovereignty and duty to eliminate the last "terrorism" hotbeds in Idlib which is controlled by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) which take the civilians as hostages and human shields to go on their attacks on the neighboring areas, as the Syrian government's SANA agency quoted.
In a press conference yesterday after a closed session of the Security Council on Syria, al-Jaafari stressed that, the Turkish government goes on evading its obligations in Sochi and Astana, by supporting the "terrorist organizations" in Idlib with more weapons, including drones.
Moreover, the Russian President Vladimir Putin and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron discussed, on Friday, the situation in Syria, and stressed the necessity of the continuation of the joint war against terrorism, and the importance of strengthening the political process in Syria.
The Kremlin said: "The two sides exchanged views on Syria, and Putin briefed Macron on the progress made in implementing the Russian-Turkish agreements in northeastern Syria and Idlib".
"The leaders of the two countries stressed on the necessity of the continuation of the joint war against terrorism firmly, and they stressed on the necessity of strengthening the political process in Syria and providing humanitarian aid to the civilians there", the Kremlin added.
In a related development, Russian and Syrian warplanes were absent from Idlib's airspace, since yesterday evening due to weather conditions, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
While the Syrian government forces go on shelling with dozens of artillery and missile shells, targeting the city of Maarat al-Numan, Talmans, Babolin, al-Salihiya, Kafr Basin, Taqana, Maar Shorin and Maar Shemsha in the southern and southeastern countryside of Idlib.
While sites belonging to the armed groups in the village of Khalsa in Aleppo southern countryside were bombed.
