The Department of Foreign Relations in north and eastern Syria has handed over a 11-month- Danish baby to representatives of its country's government, at the border crossing with Kurdistan region of Iraq (KRG).
The sources confirmed to North-Press that the baby was the child of ISIS family's members, and that it had "lost its parents in the recent battles against the Islamic State group."
"After the moving ISIS families to al-Hawl Camp, a group of women of ISIS families raised the child until he was handed over to the Danish Foreign Office representatives at Semalka border crossing," the sources said.
Moreover, the official records of al-Hawl Camp show that about 300 orphans of ISIS families are currently living in the Camp, of whom 113 are sponsored by humanitarian organizations in centers within the Camp, while the rest are adopted by ISIS families.
Earlier in October of this year, the Autonomous Administration of north and eastern Syria, handed over two siblings of ISIS families of foreign nationality to their government.
North-Press has monitored the handover process of the two children of Austrian nationality, at the border crossing of Semalka, which connects areas of Autonomous Administration with the ones of Kurdistan region of Iraq.
A delegation from the Austrian Foreign Ministry, and the Office of External Affairs of the Autonomous Administration, held a press conference at Semalka border crossing in Malikiyah (Derik) city, northeast of Hasakah, to hand over the children. The two sides signed a document providing for handing over the two Austrian children to their government.
