In a special statement to North-Press, Dr. Iyad al-Majali, the director of the Arabic Democratic Center in Jordan, expressed his opinion on the messages carried by the recent bombings in Qamishli.
Bombings are the prominent repercussions of "Peace Spring" Operation
Dr. Iyad al-Majali explained this matter by saying: "Regarding these bombings which took place yesterday in Qamishli, it is a very important variable, which formed the most significant repercussions of the security chaos which came directly after the Turkish military operation in northeast Syria, especially as the Turkish efforts to pursue the PKK forces and some factions of the YPG, reinforced Turkish affiliated armed militias such as (al-Nusra and groups under the banner of so-called political Islam), especially those which received logistical and military support from the Erdogan regime to carry out qualitative military operations in different areas of northern Syria".
ISIS operations tactics
According to Dr. al-Majali, the activity of the organization and its recent operations in the region, came at a time where the ruling political regimu in Ankara claims its carrying out security operations to counter the ISIS, and in this regard also, qualitative bombings happen in the huge population center in Qamishli, in addition to ISIS announcement of its responsibility for the murder of the Armenian Catholic priest and his son.
In his statement to North-Press, Dr. Iyad al-Majali, the director of the Arabic Democratic Center added that, the renewal of ISIS operations in this way is a new tactic in its environment which hosts a bloody organization where only the SDF is confronting it now, especially that ISIS is operating in a decentralized manner after its operations have receded, because it has been targeted by the SDF with successive strikes made it to retreat in the areas where it was, and also large numbers of its militants have been arrested.
Messages from bombings
Dr. al-Majali highlights on several messages of the recent bombings:
- ISIS still exists and present as long as the justifications exist, whether it was intellectual or political ones, in addition to the continued receipt of logistical and military support despite its decline and the incubator environment for its members. So, ISIS has reunited its cells to revive again in the region.
- The other message which came in the aftermath of this bloody attack is that, the terrorist ideology is redistributing its operations and the tactics of their implementation according to a decentralized organizational management of its groups and cells.
- Turkish efforts in its political or military tracks revealed the falsity of the regime's claim in Ankara, and came with variables which showed the fact that, Erdogan's strategy in Syria is dismantling and dividing Syria undoubtedly, and preventing the existence of a political entity for the Kurds in northern Syria, because they are terrorists who threaten the Turkish national security in case they succeed in their efforts. This will justify the continuing instability in the region and will be the answer to who is the beneficiary of this chaos and this insecurity, and who is behind these bombings.
