Large Displacement movement from Tal-Abyad under indiscriminate Turkish bombardment

Residents of al-Yabsah village, west of Tal Abyad started to leave their homes today due to the Turkish threats, as Turkish shelling started on different areas in the city of Tal Abyad and its countryside and other areas in Ein Issa – Ras al Ain – Tal Abyad Triangle.
Adnan Muslim, a resident of al-Yabsah village, told North-Press that they saw the Turkish tanks “as their cannons were directed towards their village and the village of Susek west of Tal Abyad,” adding that “the villagers have driven their families out of the village out of fear of shelling the area,” he said.
Furthermore, Muslim added that he saw two Turkish tanks approaching the village, which prompted the majority of the villagers to get out of the village along with their families for fear of Turkish bombing.
The city of Tal Abyad has witnessed a state of cautious calmness and anticipation prior to the start of the Turkish bombardment, after the withdrawal of the U.S. forces, at dawn last Monday, from a military point in Tal Abyad on the Syrian-Turkish borders in northern Syria.
While families fled the city of Tal Abyad to other cities, as the border town was under Turkish indiscriminate bombardment for long hours, as North-Press briefed during a survey tour of the city before the start of the bombing, the closure of the shops, amid great fear of a Turkish attack on the city.
Some residents of the city described the withdrawal of the U.S. troops from their points on the borders as “treason”, while people from different parts of north and eastern Syria held a sit-in today, in the city of Tal Abyad, close to the border with Turkey.
