Tripartite coordination led by Russia east of the Euphrates, U.S. not ready for war – Syrian Analyst

Abd al-Masih al-Shami, Syrian political analyst told North-Press that the reason for the United States’ decision of withdrawal from the east of the Euphrates, north-eastern Syria, is related to its unwillingness for the forthcoming war, pointing to the existence of Russian-Turkish-Syrian coordination indirectly to arrange this crisis.

The Berlin-based Syrian analyst said that media leaks regarding a Russian-Turkish swap where Idlib vs. East of Euphrates are “illogical because the United States is not a part of it.”

He believes that the reason for the U.S. withdrawal, “stems from its fears of the next battle where it can be large, while the U.S. is not ready for it, and doesn’t want to enter a war with Russia or Turkey for the Kurds, therefore, the issue is not linked to supposed deals between the Russians and the Turks.”
He added that there is “coordination between the Russians and the Turks, as there are confirmations and keenness by Russia to return the entire Syrian territories to the authority of the Syrian government.”

Abd al-Masih al-Shami stressed that the Syrian government statements are “similar” to what is happening in the north of the country, as the government’s position is clear, which is to return to the “Adana Agreement.” He thinks that there is “clear coordination between Moscow and Damascus, and Ankara, indirectly via Moscow to “arrange this issue.”

Al-Shami pointed during his talk to North-Press that “there are terms for the Turkish presence in northern Syria, that may give the Turks the power to enter the Syrian territories within a specific depth to prevent any threats against them.”
