We will participate in the military operation – National Army spokesman

Youssef Hammoud, spokesman of Turkey-backed National Army told North-Press that the National Army had declared Turkey an ally, and they would take part in the battle in the east of the Euphrates.
The Turkish President Erdogan announced yesterday that a military campaign on the Eastern Euphrates is imminent, after describing the US-Turkish joint patrols regarding the security mechanism as “just words”.

Hammoud said: “We have announced our participation from the beginning and we still insist on it, which is not a Turkish threat, as we have a right to achieve our revolutionary goals, it has gone beyond the stage of threats and is in the final stages of preparation”.

Hammoud said that the region has a series of international conflicts, so the choice of an ally is in the interests of the National Army who is committed to the five constants that are to eliminate the regime and radical forces and maintain the unity of Syria.”
He stressed that it is the agenda of the Turkish government, which fulfills these requirements because there are common interests serving both parties. For this, they are relied upon in order to achieve these interests.

Integration of groups
As for the position of Hayat Tahrir al-sham (HTS), regarding the integration of the armed groups, Hammoud said that it distorted the course of the fight and the revolutionary components among them. “The formation of the National Army was a message to the inside and outside parties, and the components that united yesterday are not an external project to strike each group with the other.”

Hammoud added that the reactions to the formation of the National Army were positive from inside and outside, saying: “Attitudes towards other forces in the region do not concern us, we call for their role to be revolutionary, national and return the revolution to its proper course.”
