Twenty nine parties and organizations in northeastern Syria declare their disapproval of the constitutional committee

About 29 parties and organizations have held an expanded meeting on Saturday in the city of Qamishli to discuss the latest developments in the region.

The parties and organizations which have participated in the meeting at a press conference, have read the statement issued by the meeting, which stated that the parties considered the process of forming a committee to draft the Syrian constitution.

In this regard, the statement said: “We cannot agree with any constitutional committee in which we are not represented in as parties, associations and bodies in northeastern Syria,” adding that the exclusion of social and political components of northeastern Syria, is a result of the” Turkish veto.”

Furthermore, the statement touched upon the recent Turkish threats to the areas of north and east of Syria, where it said that “the Turkish threats aim at revive ISIS.”

The statement was signed by the Future Syria Party, Yakity, the Syriac Union, the Kurdish Democratic Party (PDK) – the Democratic Union Party (PYD), the Arab National Authority, Star Conference and Democratic Society Movement, along with other parties and organizations.
