Northern Syria – North-Press Agency
The head of the Syrian National Coalition Anas al-Abdeh, said that the continued presence of Iran in Syria puts the country and the entire region in a state of instability and escalated tense, stressing on the need to put an end to its “crimes”.
Anas al-Abdeh said that Iran is playing a major role in sabotage actions in the region, and has proceeded to target the sites of the Saudi company “Aramco”. He pointed out that the threat of Iran is no longer limited to the countries of the region, but more, as it has hit one of the most important sources of energy in the world.
He called on the Arab countries and the international community to unify their attitude towards “Iran’s crimes”, and to put an end to its presence in Syria in particular and its activities in the region in general.
The Iranian forces are massively deployed in Syria’s eastern and southern border areas with Iraq, while civilians suffer ongoing abuses by those forces.
In the past few days, the countryside of Deir ez-Zor has witnessed an increase in events, as a result of violations by the Syrian government and Iranian forces. Hundreds of people of northern Deir ez-Zor towns and villages, nearby al-Salihiyah crossing point, have demonstrated demanding the expulsion of Syrian governmental and Iranian forces loyal to them, prompting Iranian forces to send military reinforcements to the town of Hatlah in Deir ez-Zor countryside to confront these demonstrations.
These demonstrations came upon threats from the Syrian government forces to attack the villages and towns of Deir ez-Zor’s northern countryside, while demanded the Russian forces for permission to move into those areas.
