French-German delegation visits the autonomous administration of northeastern Syria

A joint diplomatic delegation from the French and German Foreign Ministry visited the headquarters of the Autonomous Administration of North and East of Syria in the town of Ein Issa, north of Raqqa, on Wednesday to discuss humanitarian the work in the region and the mechanism of its development.
The diplomatic delegation included the representative of the German Foreign Ministry Clemens Haag and the representative of the French Foreign Ministry Eric Juvalier, where they met with the co-chair of the External Bureau in the Autonomous Administration Abdul Karim Omar, Amal Dada and representatives of some other boards.
The delegation discussed with the representatives of the Autonomous Administration the general situation in north and east of Syria and the recent developments, especially with regard to the International tribunal and the mechanism for the trial of ISIS militants.
The delegation assured that they would support the education sector and seek to recognize the certificates of education in schools and universities of the Autonomous Administration.
The delegation explained that they would meet the needs of the education sector in north and east of Syria and provide curricula for the people of these areas, adding their support for the Autonomous Administration via organizations, to carry out reconstruction processes in the destroyed cities.
The representatives of the Autonomous Administration asked the visiting delegation to support them in participating in the political process and the drafting of a new constitution for Syria, while the latter showed their support and willingness to transfer the demands of the Autonomous Administration to their governments.
The Director of the Crisis Center at the French Foreign Ministry, Eric Juvalier told the media that the aim of the delegation’s visit was to “discuss the humanitarian work in the region and the mechanism of its development”, noting that “France has developed many projects since 2017, including health, agricultural, educational and civil society projects”.
It is noteworthy that, a delegation from the British Parliament had visited the Foreign Relations Bureau of the Autonomous Administration in Qamishli, and made a series of visits to the institutions in the region, where it visited the city of Kobani and met with officials of the Autonomous Administration in the Euphrates Region, in addition to visiting the headquarters of the Autonomous Administration in the town of Ein Issa, and the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
