The Syrian
Democratic Council (SDC) is organizing a dialogue workshop in the German
capital, Berlin, for two consecutive days. The workshop has started today with
the attendance of 40 Syrian opposition figures in Germany.

On the
purpose of the workshop, SDC co-chair, Riyad Dirar told North-Press that the
workshop aims to “build a structure for a Syrian national opposition and to
discuss the Syrian issue in the future”, noting that other workshops will
be held in Germany and Syria.

He confirmed
that the workshop will discuss the “security mechanism” which was agreed
upon between the US-led Global Coalition, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and
Turkey during the last period, yet, it won’t be the main topic within the
workshop.

The workshop also dealt with issues related to the detainees in
Syria, the status of ISIS detainees in the Autonomous Administration prisons,
the form and the mission of the current government of the Autonomous Administration,
and the shape of the decentralization which is adopted by the Autonomous Administration
in the field of education, in addition to other issues.

It is noteworthy that SDC had organized a workshop in the French
capital Paris in July, where it consisted of 25 people of different visions on
the Syrian arena who discussed the solution of the Syrian crisis and the
possibility of holding a conference for the “democratic Syrian opposition
forces”.
