Northern Syria – North-Press Agency

A delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic has visited a number of the camps
in north and east of Syria in coordination with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)
in order to verify its jihadi families who are living in these camps.

A diplomatic source told North-Press that the delegation has also
visited a number of prisons where the citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who were members
of the Islamic State group (ISIS), were arrested or surrendered to the SDF during
the past periods.

The source added that the delegation has also visited a number of the
sites where the battles between the SDF and ISIS took place. The delegation also
visited the city of Kobani, in addition to a number of archaeological sites.

Regarding the possibility of transferring its jihadi citizens to their
country, the source explained that the delegation’s current visit comes to
check the identities of their citizens, and expecting them to be transferred to
their country during the upcoming period.

It is noteworthy that the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North
and East Syria has called the countries to take back their citizens, who were
arrested during the fighting between the Global Coalition backed SDF and ISIS, as
it also called for the establishment of an international tribunal in northeastern
Syria for the trial of ISIS militants, if those countries refuse to take back
their jihadi citizens.
