Explosion of an IED in a vehicle of SDF in Hasakah

An IED exploded in a bus belonging to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), at dawn today, in Al-Salihiya neighborhood of  Hasakah, northeastern Syria.

According to North-Press correspondent, the vehicle belonged to the Military Housing institution of SDF, that functions as transporting the staff working in this field, noting that it was parked in front of the house of the driver, “Abdul Qadir Oso,” as exploded at about 4 a.m.

Damage was limited to material without casualties or injuries. The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) imposed a security cordon around explosion location until the fire was extinguished.

Moreover, a source in Internal Security Forces told North-Press that “preliminary investigations revealed that the explosion caused by an IED placed at the back of the bus,” the source said that the explosion is likely to be conducted by sleeper cells of  Islamic State group.

It is worth mentioning that the city of Hasakah witnessed recently a series of motorcycle explosions in July 11, followed by  another motorbike exploded nearby the headquarters of the SDF in the city in July 23 , as  damage was limited to material  without casualties.
