Yahya al-Aridi to “North Press”: Russia is in Crisis to Find a Political Solution

“The constitutional committee is not the solution to everything, but it is the way to a political solution, and the political matters are the only way out to find a solution in Syria.”Yahya Al-Aridi, the head of the media office of the Supreme Negotiating Committee pointed out to North Press.

Al-Aridi accused the Syrian Government of creating obstacles and using pretexts in order not to engage in the political process, and that the Syrian Government is driven by Russia, pointing at that “Russia is trying to release the Syrian regime from the responsibility of obstructing the formation of the constitutional committee and blaming the others.”

“virtually,  the constitutional committee is not the political solution, and is not everything for the political cases in Syria, it is merely a way to a political solution through the implementation of international resolutions, the Geneva Declaration and the resolution 2254,” Yahya al-Aridi added.

“the political matters are the only way out to find a solution in Syria, but the continuation of this military systemic practiced by the regime and Russia in this regard, without justification, will not lead to a solution,” he pointed out. “Russia is in crisis to find a political solution, which it has not seen the light yet.” He noted.

Hence, he reduced the possibility of reaching a political solution in the future, unless they find consensus between the Russians and the Americans, because the Syrian case is no longer a case between the regime and the people who demand freedom, it became a matter of international interests, and also a great deal of interference. Al-Aridi added.
