Kurdish village north of Raqqa violated by Turkey

The border villages in Syria’s north-east are violated by the Turkish army along the border between the Self Administration
areas and the ones of The Turkish state.

The last violation was on the 28the of April when Turkish border guards opened fire on civilian houses in the village of Tal Fandar, about 7 km west of Tal Abyad area north of  Raqqa, with a population of about 800.

“My niece, a 7 -year-old girl  was killed by a Turkish sniper in (February 2, 2018),  although we were about 700 meters far from the border,” Mustafa Rasul told North Press.

“It was not the first time, Turkish troops have been targeting people for several times and prevent us from cultivating our fields, even though there is an observation point for the international coalition in our village.” He added

In 2016, Turkey began building a wall with a length of 911 km. It was the third largest wall in the world after the wall of China and the border wall between the United States and Mexico.

Hikmat Muhammad, from the village of Tal Fandar, mentioned The Turkish army violations, saying that the Turkish troops shot at them on sight of the American troops whose point, also, were almost hit by Turkish bullets.

Muhammad complains that the Turkish troops have targeted civilians, prevented peasants  from cultivating their fields, and that
the land has become useless for four years.

“The Turkish troops targeted me and my family last Sunday, while we were working in the field,” said Baha’a Addin, 35 years.

The US military set up a border observation point in the village of Tel Fandar during the start of Turkish direct threats to the east of the Euphrates areas.
