Kazakhstan receives 231 citizens from The Administration of northeast Syria
The Democratic Self-Administration in the north and east of Syria on Wednesday handed two batches of the Islamic State fighters and their families of about \ 231\ Kazakhs to their country’s government after talks between the Kazakh government and The Self-Administration .
Kazakh citizens were handed over to their country’s government in Al-Hol camp, east of Hasaka, in the presence of the Foreign Relations Department and leaders of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the International Coalition.
The US-led international coalition to fight “Da’ash” mediate between The Syrian Democratic Forces and the countries that receive its citizens detained in the north and east of Syria.
Kazakhstan had accepted the receipt of its citizens detained by the Syrian Democratic Forces who , in return, had been captured many times in their war against the “Islamic State”.
The batches included 61 women, 154 children and 16 armed men, as the Kazakh government intend to take back the rest of its citizens detained in the Administration of north and east of Syria.
Sources from the Syrian Democratic Forces Command told North Press that coordination with the Kazakh government would continue to hand over further batches in the near future.
The sources said that meetings were held between representatives of counter-terrorism agency of Kazakhstan and representatives of the Department of Foreign Relations of The Self-Administration under the supervision of representatives of the International coalition , to receive the two batches and coordinate to take all the Kazakh militants detained and their families following the signing of an official protocol between the parties.
At the beginning of this year, the Kazakh government received the first batch of its citizens, consisting of (6) gunmen and (32) women and children.
The United States has sent lists containing personal information of the detainees, held by the Syrian Democratic Forces, to 24 countries to inform them of the need to receive the detainees, because of not responding , except for some, such as Macedonia, Lebanon and Kosovo, while Kazakhstan and Tunisia are ready to receive the gunmen for compensation.
