Israeli tanks enter Syria’s Quneitra countryside

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli tanks, accompanied by soldiers, entered on Monday Tal Abu Qubais in the countryside of Quneitra.

Israeli forces have repeatedly carried out incursions into Quneitra and Daraa since December 2024. A July report by the European Union Agency for Asylum said Israeli forces had expanded their presence in the UN-monitored demilitarized zone and established military positions in parts of Quneitra and Daraa.

In July, Israeli forces also carried out several incursions in Quneitra, including advances toward Tal al-Ahmar and the village of Kudna, according to Syrian state media.

Footage showed Israeli tanks moving through the area, while state media reported that the patrol included two tanks and several military vehicles carrying soldiers.
