One person, child injured in war-remnant explosions in Syria
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – One person and a child were injured on Sunday in separate explosions involving war remnants in Jisr al-Shughur, Idlib, and al-Qusayr in the Homs countryside.
State media reported that a man was injured when an explosive projectile detonated at a scrap collection site in Jisr al-Shughur, Idlib governorate, while a child was injured in an explosion involving war remnants in the al-Qusayr area of Homs countryside.
Civil defense teams with the Idlib Emergency and Disaster Management Directorate said they responded to the incident and extinguished a fire caused by the explosion. Residents of the area provided first aid to the injured man before the teams arrived at the scene.
Civil defense also reported that a 14-year-old child sustained moderate injuries in an explosion involving war remnants near al-Dab’ah village in the al-Qusayr area of southern Homs countryside. The child was taken to a hospital in Homs for treatment.
