Shooting leaves 3 dead, 2 injured in U.S. state of Idaho
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Three people were killed after a gunman opened fire in a shopping area in the U.S. city of Twin Falls, Idaho, authorities said on Sunday.
Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said the shooter was among the dead and no longer posed a threat to the public.
Josh Palmer, communications coordinator for the City of Twin Falls, told Reuters that authorities received reports of a shooting near an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in a busy commercial area.
About an hour later, “it was determined that the shooter was no longer a threat,” Palmer said.
During a news conference, Hicks said he did not know the exact number of fatalities. Palmer later told Reuters that three people were killed and at least two others were injured.
Hicks said the gunman was among those killed, adding that investigators are working to determine the shooter’s identity and motive.
