Israeli forces shell and advance into Quneitra countryside
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces carried out a new ground incursion and artillery shelling in the southern countryside of Quneitra on Thursday, according to local sources, with no immediate reports of casualties or material damage.
Local sources told North Press that Israeli forces fired three artillery shells that landed near Tal al-Ahmar al-Sharqi in southern Quneitra countryside. The shelling coincided with strikes targeting the outskirts of Wadi Abidin from the direction of Jabin.
The sources said an Israeli military force consisting of three vehicles crossed through the Tal Abu al-Ghithar gate toward Wadi al-Ruqqad, as military movements in the area continued.
No confirmed information has been received so far regarding injuries or damage resulting from the shelling, the sources added.
Tension remains high around the targeted areas as Israeli military escalation continues along the border strip.
