Syrian forces arrest alleged ISIS members in Aleppo

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Syrian Internal Security Forces and the General Intelligence Service in Aleppo announced on Tuesday the arrest of individuals allegedly affiliated with the Islamic State (ISIS) during a joint security operation in Aleppo and its countryside.

In a statement published on their official platforms, the Internal Security Forces said the joint operation with the General Intelligence Service resulted in the detention of alleged ISIS members in Aleppo city and its rural areas.

The statement added that the security forces and intelligence personnel also seized weapons depots, ammunition and explosive materials belonging to ISIS in the cities of Aleppo and al-Bab.
