Israeli forces arrest 4 men in Syria’s Quneitra after military incursion
QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces arrested on Thursday four young men from the town of Jbata al-Khashab in the northern countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, following a military incursion and the establishment of a temporary checkpoint.
A local source told North Press that an Israeli military force consisting of five vehicles advanced into the area and set up a checkpoint at the al-Kassarat junction on the road between Jbata al-Khashab and Ain al-Bayda.
Soldiers stopped passersby, carried out searches, and detained four young men as they were passing through, the sources added.
The source identified the detainees as Mohab Mahmoud Maryoud, Suleiman Ahmad al-Ali, Ahmad Hussein Maryoud, and Ahmad Mohammed Maryoud.
According to the source, Israeli forces transferred the detainees to the al-Hamidiyah military point. The reasons for their arrest and their fate remain unknown.
The northern countryside of Quneitra and the neighboring areas of Daraa have witnessed intermittent Israeli incursions and arrest operations amid the absence of official explanations regarding the motives behind these actions.
