Israeli forces advance into Quneitra countryside

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces advanced on Thursday evening into the village of al-Samdania al-Sharqiyah in the countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria.

Earlier the same day, Israeli warplanes carried out intensive flights across Syrian airspace, penetrating skies from the southern region to western Hama countryside, as well as areas in Latakia and southern Idlib countryside.

Government media outlets reported that “Israeli forces entered from al-Burj point in the destroyed Quneitra area.”

The reports added that the forces moved with four vehicles toward the village without setting up checkpoints or stopping, before continuing their movement toward Tel Krum Jaba.

Syrian authorities continue to monitor Israeli military activity in Quneitra and surrounding areas, with no immediate indication of de-escalation.
