Syrian security member killed by unknown gunmen in southern Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – A member of the General Security Directorate affiliated with the Syrian Ministry of Interior was shot dead on Saturday by unidentified gunmen in the southern countryside of Idlib, northwest Syria, a government source told North Press.
The source said that the victim, Hani al-Jadaan, from the town of Sinjar, was targeted by armed assailants in the Sanjar subdistrict of Maarrat al-Numan area.
According to the source, al-Jadaan was hit by a direct gunshot to the head and died instantly.
The identity and motives of the attackers remain unknown, as security forces have reportedly launched an investigation into the incident.
