Unknown gunmen injure 2 AANES employees in Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Unknown gunmen injured on Tuesday two employees of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria.

A local source told North Press that the assailants, riding a motorcycle, opened fire with machine guns on a car carrying two employees of the AANES’ Organizations Office as it was traveling along the main road in the village of Meheimideh.

The attack left both employees wounded. They were transferred to a hospital in the al-Ma’amel area, where a doctor confirmed that their conditions were stable.

The source added that the attackers, who were masked, fled toward the desert outskirts of the village after carrying out the assault.
