IED blast injures 2 Syrian military personnel in Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Two members of the Ministry of Defense of the Syrian transitional government were injured on Thursday when an improvised explosive device (IED) targeted their vehicle in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria. 

A military source in Deir ez-Zor told North Press that the IED, planted on the roadside, detonated as a vehicle belonging to the Ministry’s Division 86 approached the entrance of the village of Tob, east of Deir ez-Zor.

The explosion caused minor injuries to the two personnel inside the vehicle.

The source added that security forces immediately responded to the scene and have launched an investigation into the incident.
