Clashes in Aleppo leave three government fighters injured

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Clashes broke out on Monday evening in the Sheikh Maqsoud-adjacent Ashrafieh area of Aleppo between the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and Syrian government troops, resulting in injuries among the latter.

A North Press correspondent in Aleppo, citing a local source, reported that the clashes lasted approximately 20 minutes, leaving three government fighters wounded. They were transferred to Yassin Hospital in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

The confrontation reportedly erupted after a group of government forces attacked an Asayish checkpoint near Ashrafieh.

The source added that the Asayish forces managed to shoot down a government-operated drone during the clashes.
