Syria’s Hasakah witnesses joint Coalition–SDF military drills

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The U.S.-led Global Coalition conducted late on Saturday joint military exercises with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) at its base in the countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syria.

North Press correspondent reported that the town of Tel Tamr and nearby villages, north of Hasakah, saw heavy low-altitude helicopter flights that extended late into the night, followed by warplane activity continuing until Sunday morning.

A military source told North Press that the explosions and aerial maneuvers heard near the Qasrak base were part of coordinated drills between the Coalition and the SDF units.

The Combined Joint Task Force–Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) confirmed last week that similar exercises had taken place at the same base over a five-day period, involving live fire, explosions, and intensive air operations.
