SDF refutes alleged skirmishes with Syrian army in Aleppo

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) denied on Sunday that any clashes occurred with Syrian government forces in the Tel Ma‘az area of Aleppo countryside.

For the past two days, government-aligned media and sources from the Syrian transitional government reported skirmishes between SDF and Damascus-affiliated factions in Tel Ma‘az.

“The SDF Media Center categorically denies reports of any clashes between our forces and factions loyal to the Damascus government in Tel Ma‘az, eastern Aleppo countryside,” the SDF said in an official statement.

The statement added that the reports were entirely fabricated and constitute misinformation, emphasizing that SDF did not conduct any attacks nor engage in any confrontations over the past several days.

Instead, the SDF explained that the incidents cited in media reports reflect internal disputes among Damascus-aligned factions themselves, and that the coverage exaggerated and distorted these events as clashes with SDF.

The statement concluded that the rumors are a deliberate attempt at media manipulation, misleading the public about the situation on the ground.
