Israel says it dismantled Turkish spy devices near Damascus
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – An Israeli security official said on Thursday that the army dismantled Turkish-made surveillance devices installed in the Rif Damascus to monitor Israel, al-Hadath TV reported
The revelation came two days after Israeli warplanes struck Syrian army positions in the Rif Damascus , killing eight personnel affiliated with the Ministry of Defense
A recent Israeli airborne operation near Damascus was “highly necessary” for Israel’s security, stating that secret and dangerous equipment was recovered during the raid, the official said.
“We warned the Syrian authorities not to provoke Israel or take directives from Turkey,” the Israeli official said, adding that Turkey ‘is overstepping its bounds.
He further noted that Israeli warnings had previously been delivered to Syrian authorities, cautioning them against testing Israel’s patience or challenging the limits of its military operations.
According to the official, the recovered devices had been in position at sites in Rif Damascus for more than ten years.
