Turkish border guards shoot man in Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – A young man was injured on Wednesday after being shot by Turkish border guards while attempting to cross illegally from the city of Kobani, northern Syria.
A medical source told North Press that the injured, identified as Siraj Mohammed Harlouk from Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria, was transferred to Kobani Hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds near the border.
The source added that Harlouk underwent surgery and is remaining under medical observation.
This incident comes just two days after a 16-year-old boy, Welat Mahmoud Horan, was injured when Turkish border guards opened fire indiscriminately on the city of Kobani.
